Duo Shiraz (Ann Vancoillie en Liselotte Sels) werd opgericht in december 2015. De naam werd gekozen na een concertreis in Iran (zomer 2016). Het duo is flexibel: we spelen zowel op moderne instrumenten (piano, viool) als historische instrumenten (klavecimbel, barokviool). We hebben reeds opgetreden in Antwerpen (Expohuis, juni 2016), Teheran (Arasbaran Cultural Centre, juli 2016), Shiraz (Hafez Hall, juli 2016), en in verschillende huisconcerten (Antwerpen, Gent, Eeklo, juli en augustus 2016). Op 23 februari 2017 staat er een optreden in het conservatorium van Antwerpen gepland (examenrecital). Ons repertoire beslaat verschillende periodes, beginnend van de barok en eindigend vandaag. Componisten waarvan we reeds muziek uitvoerden zijn Bach, Telemann, Mozart, Beethoven, Franck, Wilfried Westerlinck, Frederik Devreese.
