Ann Vancoillie is een veelzijdige muzikante die een breed scala aan stijlen beheerst, van barok tot hedendaagse muziek, met improvisatie in verschillende genres. Naast haar klassieke achtergrond wijdt ze zich intensief aan jazz en behaalde ze in 2024 een Bachelor of Jazz aan het Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. Opleiding & Carrière
- Opleiding: Ann behaalde op 17-jarige leeftijd de Regeringsmedaille met grote onderscheiding en studeerde verder aan de Koninklijke Conservatoria van Brussel en Gent. Daar behaalde ze met onderscheiding Hogere Diploma's voor viool, kamermuziek en Pedagogische diploma’s. Dankzij een beurs van Lions- en Kiwanisclub Brugge studeerde zij verder aan het Mozarteum in Salzburg bij docenten zoals Sandor Végh, Veronika Hagen en Nicolaus Harnoncourt. In 2017 rondde Ann een Master of Performing Arts af via een EVC-procedure van één jaar. In 2024 behaalde ze, na een voltijdse studie jazz, haar Bachelor of Jazz.
- Orkestervaring: Ann werkt momenteel als 2de solist eerste viool bij Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Ze was eerder concertmeester van het Wereldjeugdorkest en het Symfonieorkest van Vlaanderen. Ze trad regelmatig op met ensembles zoals "Les Musiciens du Louvre" van Marc Minkowski (barokviool), het "Mahler Chamber Orchestra" van Claudio Abbado, en het "Champs d'Action" ensemble. Daarnaast werkte ze samen met de "Camerata Academica Salzburg" en "I Fiamminghi" en ging op tournee met het Wereldvredeorkest in Zuid-Korea.
- Solist & Kamermusicus: Als solist voerde Ann concerti uit van onder andere Mendelssohn, Bruch, Mozart en Beethoven met orkesten zoals het Nationaal Orkest van België en het Nieuw Vlaams Symfonieorkest. - Education: At the age of 17, Ann earned the Government Medal with great distinction and continued her studies at the Royal Conservatories of Brussels and Ghent, where she achieved higher diplomas with distinction in violin, chamber music, and pedagogical certifications. Thanks to a scholarship from the Lions and Kiwanis Club Brugge, she pursued further studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under teachers such as Sandor Végh, Veronika Hagen, and Nicolaus Harnoncourt. In 2017, Ann completed a Master of Performing Arts through a one-year EVC procedure. In 2024, after a full-time jazz study, she earned her Bachelor of Jazz.
- Orchestral Experience: Ann is currently 2nd soloist first violin at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Previously, she was concertmaster of the World Youth Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of Flanders. She regularly performed with ensembles such as Marc Minkowski's "Les Musiciens du Louvre" (baroque violin), Claudio Abbado's "Mahler Chamber Orchestra," and the "Champs d'Action" ensemble. Additionally, she collaborated with the "Camerata Academica Salzburg" and "I Fiamminghi" and toured with the World Peace Orchestra in South Korea.
