Ann Vancoillie (viool) Osama Abdulrasol (Kanun) en Aykut Dursen (Contrabas), three  multi-skilled musicians meeting each other on an interesting improvisation trip.   The differences of their original birth countries, Belgium, Iraq and Turkey are surely producing an extra musical dimension in their improvisations. Compositions and improvisations by the trhee musicians are highly appreciated by its audience.




Osama Abulrasol:
Osama Abdulrasol (OsArt) is a composer, producer and qanunplayer and visual Artist. He was born in Babylon (Iraq) and he studied western music (classical guitar) in the UK and eastern music (qanun or Arabic lap harp) in Iraq.He wrote music for several projects, for film, theatre, and also several songs. He arranged and produced music for and performed with different musicians from different backgrounds. Arabic, Jazz, experimental, Indian, Turkish bands and more.He performed and toured almost everywhere in the world with different groups like the symphonic orchestra of  Antwerpen (de Filharmonie) and the Flemish Radio Orchestra, both conducted by Dirk Brossé, with Goran Bregovic, Lucilla Galeazzi, Claron McCfeden, Roby Lakatos, Tom Robinson, BJ Scott, Wannes Van de Velde, Luc de Vos, dick van der hast, Arifa, Olla Vogala, Melike, Oblomow, Djamel, Nahdha, Mesopotamia, Weshm, Lula Pena, Elftwelvtrio, Jahida Wehbe, Ghade Shbeir, Woestijn 93, Les ballets C de la B,  Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Monic Hendrickx and several other groups and theatre productions.     He participated in several Arab and international festivals in the UK, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Holland, Germany, France, Portugal, Egypt, Dubai, Kuwait, Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and more.

Aykut Dursen:
was born in Turkey and studied Contrabas at the Conservatory of Ankara. He studied at the Conservatories of Vienna and Brussels and at the François Rabbath Institute in Paris. He was lucky to have masterclasses with the famous Italian bassist Franco Petracchi. He played in different orchestras such as Residenz Orchester Vienna, played chambermusic concerts in Europe, Japan, Israël, Jordania, Martinique and Turkey. He is professor contrabas at the Academy of Waterloo and teaches on masterclasses in Turkey. Next to the classical repertoire, he is active in the classical Ottoman musique and experimental chambermusica. He was second soloïst contrabas in the Filharmonie of Antwerpen from 1992 untill 2005. In 2006, he won the place as leader contrabas in the Vlaamse Opera.


Ann Vancoillie:


Ann Vancoillie is a multi-skilled, multi-talented musician, who performs in all styles from baroque music up to contemporary music, including improvisation in different styles. She prefers to use different instruments for different styles. She plays a baroque violin made by Marco Anedda, her second baroque violin (anonymus +- 1680), her modern violin made by Carlo Giuseppe Oddone, and her electric Zeta violin. Her bows are made by Groppe, Raspanti, Schüster and J.B. Vuillaume.  She studied in Brussels,Ghent and Salzburg with Kati Sebestyen, André Gertler, Henri Raudales, Sandor Vègh, Nicolaus Harnoncourt and the Hagen quartet. She was concertmaster of the New Flemish Orchestra, the Conservatory orchestra and theWorld Youth Orchestera, was leader of the second violins in the Mahler chamber orchestra, played baroque violin in Les Musiciens du Louvre, Le Concert D'Anvers, Octopus, Ex Tempore and played e.o. contemporary music in Champs d'action, Logos and as a soloist. She's now soloist first violin in the Flemish opera of Ghent and Antwerpen. Ann is very busy with her chamber music formations, "A touch of Latin", violin/guitar, her duo violin/harpe, violin/piano, violin/action painting, string quartet, violin/ethnic instruments and baroque violin e.a. with les Le Concert D'Anvers, Goûts authentiques. She played several productions with Les Musiciens du Louvre as well.
Being in love with music, her creative spirit leads her constantly to new interesting projects, contact and cooperation  with musicians of different fields, composers, writers, actors, poets, improvisers, open mindedcreative artists. Very recently she was selected as Belgian violinist to play in the World Peace Orchestra with 21 musicians of the United Nations representing their country in South-Korea. She performed as a soloïst in the military Camp Greaves and with the WPO, and as a leader of the second violins in Busan and in the Dorasan Station, the DMZ that divides North-Korea from South-Korea.
